In Fearful Times

I don’t ever want a day to go by that I do not touch a life…

Be it 2 legged or more…

I acknowledge that my existence can and does make a difference

I am grateful for what I have and the effect I can make in a persons life

Even if just a smile, a warm glow, anything…

I have a very dear friend

That right now is in a scary place

In support I try to let him know what a difference he has made in my life

I can’t help but reflect on what I would do in the same situation

I can only hope that if I am ever so scared that someone reminds me

No… I can only hope that in all those that would try to support me

In my fear of the unknown

That I am able to really hear what their hearts are telling me,

That it be okay with me and give me peace

We are only here for a short while

I know I make a difference

I know that I am a good soul

Feeling for my friend right now

I can only hope and pray that he can feel it too

I can only hope that in the times we try to be there for others

We take a piece of it away and acknowledge our own worth

That person that is now in fear, is only reaching out

to those that have made a difference in his or her life
