The Muddy Foot Tribe
Home Up The Fluffsters

Hi, my name is James and Mommy said I could tell you all about the Muddy Foot Tribe! That is what she calls us, and I am not sure why. (Click on my name to see a pic of me helping Dad read the paper.)

It could have something to do with some of the construction that has gone on around here. I mean, it isn't our fault if there is so much dirt out there, is it?

But anyway, I will start at the beginning....There are now 4 of us in the Muddy Foot Tribe. (If you click on this you will see a pic of all of us getting a cookie from Dad, Christi and Amos are in there too.)

There is me, James, I am a Golden Retriever and I will be 9 soon, (getting gray, bummer). I am my Mom's baby boy. I get all wigglely when she calls me that, too.

There is Honey, she is Daddy's girl, and thinks he is really the greatest thing next to peanut butter. She is a yellow lab and is almost 13, (but she isn't gray, not fair). (Clicking on her name will show a pic of her doing the Labrador shredder thing.)

Then there is Sandy...she is the baby at 5 and is a yellow lab like Honey. She has fancy parents, but Mom decided not to pursue the show ring with her. (Clicking Sandy's name will bring up her pic from under the kitchen table, of course!)

We now come to Nick. He is this really cool lil gray cat that Mom got for us one Christmas. I think he is only about 12 pounds but he rough houses with Sandy's 67 pounds none the less.  (Clicking on Nicks name will show you him in full fluff, as Mom calls it.)

We did have my sister, Christi,  from my mom's first litter, (I am out of the last litter), but she just left us this year. She had lots of nick names cause she really did silly stuff. She was called pig pen, the Fluffsters, and she taught us all how to break dance.  We miss her and I am the only goldie now. (If you click on her name you will see a pic of here with Sandy sleeping on top of her.)

Did you know my mom, Molly, (my real dog mom), is a movie star? Yeah, she is. She was my Mom's first golden retriever and she was the one that did all the smart parts in the movie Homeward Bound! That was my mom doing the jumps and swimming and diving. She loved the water, and would swim for hours. You can tell her apart from the other dog they used cause mom had all the feathers and flowing hair, and bigger ears. Well also cause she didn't have the same body parts.. they mostly used Ben when they did the scenes of them walking.

Mom told me to tell you about our trips. We all jump into the truck and go for really great trips...  At night Nick gets to sleep in the trailer and we all sleep in the truck, the giant dog kennel as Dad calls it. People always seem to get such a kick out of seeing us all. We are always on our best behavior because Mom and Dad really treat us good.
